“Pursue your happiness.” It’s the official state motto of the state of Pennsylvania, which is of course famous for hosting the meeting of delegates that resulted in the U.S. Declaration of Independence that states that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are rights of every citizen. But chasing after enjoyable experiences also comes easy in the picturesque state that has incredible historic treasures, sprawling urban and green spaces, and the tranquility of the great outdoors. All of these amenities can be found in many meeting and event spaces across Pennsylvania.
At Gettysburg College, guests will be treated to the iconic backdrop of the three-day Battle of Gettysburg during the Civil War, as well as the very spot President Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous two-minute long speech. Here, modern features are also key with the college offering more than 60 meeting facilities, open green spaces, and intuitive technology and multimedia systems, not to mention close proximity to several major metropolitan areas.
There’s also The Franklin Institute, one of the leading science centers in the country that pays homage to its namesake Benjamin Franklin and is considered one of the top five tourist destinations in the city of Philadelphia. In addition to being a prominent educational and cultural resource, it also serves as a premier conference and event space, offering interactive exhibits, on-site parking, a dedicated concierge service, and culinary creations from FROG Commissary.
The scenic Villanova University offers another kind of experience with an expansive campus that offers a three-mile walking trail, a competitive challenge course for team-building opportunities, and two state-of-the-art fitness centers. That’s in addition to air-conditioned classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, a cinema, and a theater for up to 650 people.
