The university is conveniently located 5 minutes from the Kelowna International Airport – offering daily direct flights to and from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Seattle. Close to many championship golf courses, award winning wineries and only 20 minutes from downtown Kelowna, UBC Okanagan is the ideal location for your event.
Meeting & Event Spaces
Grand Theatre
This beautifully appointed theatre with stage is an ideal meeting venue, perfect for Plenary Sessions of up to 200. Plush seats with flip-top desks. Touch-top podium with DVD, VCR, LCD Projection, 20" screen, and sound system.
Arts Lecture Theatre
Another large modern lecture theatre with teared tabels and chairs and all the AV equipment you need standard in the room. This theatre seats up to 200 people.
Classrooms
A large number of regular classrooms that seat 25 to 100 are available. Most classrooms have moveable tables and chairs. All classrooms have an overhead projector, screen, blackboard and desktop podium.
Fipke Lecture Theatre
This brand new $30.5 million dollar research centre houses a 300 seat theatre. The 6,545 sq. metre building also houses a lovely foyer and mezzanine area (5,500 sq. ft) for trade shows and receptions.
Computer Labs
Computer labs are equipped with 20 PC's and an LCD projector. Rental rates are based on the hour, and technical support is available for an additional charge.
University Centre Ballroom
This well-appointed, traditional venue is the perfect setting for an elegant social event or reception, and easily accommodates seating for up to 136 guests.
Sunroom
This large room is perfect for any food & beverage event for a group of up to 300 people. The bright room can be divided into 2 rooms and has access to the outdoor patio.
Super Classrooms
These classrooms (9 total) feature high-tech equipment making them premium conference facilities. The rooms have tiered seating and can handle up to 100 people. There are fixed tables and moveable seats in each room. Super classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors, are fully automated and wired for audio and DVD.
Okanagan Room
The Okanagan Room is ideal as a hospitality room, lounge room or catering room for smaller groups. With kitchen area, comfortable seating and TV your guests can hang-out and relax in this warm environment.

Sun Room
The Sun Room is a spectacular banquet room with wrap around windows and a lovely view of the campus and surrounding woods. The side door opens up to a patio, which is perfect for summer BBQs.
University Centre Ballroom
This well-appointed, traditional venue is the perfect setting for an elegant social event or reception, and easily accommodates seating for up to 160 guests.
Okanagan Room
The Okanagan Room is ideal as a hospitality room, lounge room or catering room for smaller groups. With kitchen area, comfortable seating and TV your guests can hang-out and relax in this warm environment.

Classic Fare Catering
Whether planning a simple breakfast or an upscale luncheon or dinner, Classic Fare Catering has a variety of menus to choose from. Try the Okanagan Buffet featuring fresh seasonal products of the Valley, paired with the regions award wining wines. They will also custom design a menu for any special occasion. Whether your buget is large or small, Classic Fare Catering will work with you to make your event a success.
Accommodations
Okanagan Single Room
Recently built, our Okanagan Single Rooms offer your own private bedroom with access to a bathroom shared with one other room. Each room is furnished with a single bed, dresser, desk, and chair, with internet access and air conditioning. Access to a shared kitchen and soft seating in the T.V. lounge, on every floor is just down the hall.
Monashee Queen Studio Suites
Stay in our newly renovated studio or one-bedroom suites, each with queen sized bed. Our Quad suites offer 4 single beds and Family quads sleep 5 with a queen bed and 3 single beds. Enjoy your own cooking facilities with equipped kitchen, bathroom, internet access and air conditioning in every suite (quads have one washroom). Televisions are available in one bedroom suites and a T.V. lounge is available in the building.
Cascades Apartments
Stay in one of our newly constructed 4-bedroom apartments. Take full advantage of the private bedrooms with single beds, kitchen, inviting living room, and two bathrooms. All units have internet access and air conditioning.
