The Sherman is a stunning 22-room boutique hotel that has been restored to magnificence unlike any other point in its 166-year history.
It’s been a favorite resting area for tourists since Lincoln. It’s a convenient meeting spot between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, a well-loved destination for the community and an important Indiana monument. Before the Civil War, through the taming of the West, the Golden Age of Hollywood, and the election of 33 presidents, it has a rich history. It was the scene of hundreds of festivities as well as important negotiations, agreements, and contracts. The cheers and toasts of generations commemorating holidays like Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, and more can be heard echoing off the very foundation beams.
