The Lodge at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort
About
The Lodge at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort was initially built as the hunting lodge for Colonel Willard F. Rockwell, a business tycoon from Pittsburgh. After it was finished in 1968, the lodge soon gained popularity among Rockwell’s friends as a go-to spot for outdoor activities because of the Laurel Highlands’ abundance of wild animals and fresh fish.
When the Colonel sold the property in 1979, the structure eventually turned into a convention center. This beautiful hotel is now open on the site of this ancient gem. The hotel made its debut as The Lodge at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in the late 1980s, and ever since, its rural beauty has drawn innumerable visitors.
