The Strater Hotel, one of the most recognizable hotels in the West, is the epicenter of Durango in every sense. It is also the center of fun and entertainment and located two blocks from the Historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The interior features the largest collection of American Victorian walnut antiques, exquisite handcrafted woodwork, and vintage wallpaper. Whenever visitors turn, they see wonderful examples of the Old West. Famous ragtime piano players are among the nightly entertainment options at the Diamond Belle Saloon. Mesa Verde National Park is only one of the many family-friendly attractions in Durango, a recreational haven.
