Sheridan Inn

About

The storied Sheridan Hotel, which is situated in Sheridan, Wyoming, and is steeped in Western culture, has been named a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior. Built in 1893 by the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad for the original owner, William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody, the inn was designed by Thomas Kimball to resemble a Scottish hunting lodge. On the front porch, Cody conducted auditions for his “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West” company. The Sheridan Inn reopened its doors to guests in May 2015 after 50 years of being vacant and a comprehensive $7 million makeover.
Today, visitors can travel back in time and experience the Wild West’s bygone era while enjoying contemporary amenities.
