Palace Hotel

About

The Palace was the biggest hotel in the world and the first luxury hotel to operate in San Francisco in 1875. It was unmatched in its splendor and America’s answer to the magnificent hotels of Europe. The Palace was reconstructed and reopened in 1909 after being destroyed in The Great 1906 San Francisco Earthquake. The Pied Piper of Hamelin Maxfield Parrish mural and The Garden Court with its glass ceiling and Austrian crystal chandeliers are only a couple of the iconic works that make this building the city’s treasure after more than a century in existence. During a recent makeover, original old architecture was complemented with contemporary design with a classical influence. First-class lodging, opulent extras, excellent food, and unmatched service are all available to guests.
