Francis Marion Hotel

About

The Francis Marion Hotel, which has been rebuilt, was originally built in 1924 as the Grand Dame of the Carolinas and named for the Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion. The hotel, which combines 1920s design with modern conveniences, is still a legendary building. The hotel, which rises 12 floors above King Street and the historic neighborhood, provides breathtaking views of Charleston’s antebellum homes and church steeples. The hotel is conveniently close to the top-notch restaurants and pubs, house museums, boutiques and antique stores, and historic parks that have made Charleston a well-known tourist attraction. It is situated in the heart of the historic peninsula.
