Condado Vanderbilt Hotel

About

The historic Grand Dame hotel, which Frederick William Vanderbilt first constructed in 1919 and once served as San Juan’s social hub, underwent painstaking restoration before being reopened in December 2014. The Condado Vanderbilt Hotel was created by the architectural company Warren and Wetmore, whose other notable projects include the New York Biltmore Hotel and Grand Central Station. The 1919 Restaurant, lobby bar, and banquet services of the hotel started luring foodies in October 2012. The Vanderbilt has been restored to its former elegance, style, and level of service from the Roaring Twenties, for which the hotel was renowned. The hotel provides the ideal city-stay on the beach because of its location on the Atlantic Ocean.
