Stonehill College: Meetings & Events That Exceed Expectations

Colleges & Universities

Stonehill College is majestically set in Easton, Massachusetts, which is conveniently located 30 miles outside of Boston, Providence and Cape Cod.  The College was formally the estate and airplane landing strip of Fredrick Lothrop Ames, and even today the features the 1905 Gregorian Mansion of the Ames Family.  While on campus, guests can discover fantastic early 19th-20th century historical collections including historical manuscripts, photographs and artifacts.  For example, Stonehill is home to The Arnold B. Tofias Industrial Archives, which include the records and artifacts of O. Ames Shovel Company, including over 750 antique shovels.  The College is also home to the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives; Joseph W. Martin, Jr. Papers, a collection of 50 years of American politics, including photographs, manuscripts, and documents.  In addition, at Stonehill guests can enjoy the Stanley A. Bauman Photograph Collection, which includes over 500,000 negatives of Brockton and surrounding towns from the 1940s to the 1990s, including over 1000 images of famed fighter Rocky Marciano.  Located just a few miles south of campus, The Brockton Shoe Museum preserves the history of the US Shoe Industry with a collection that includes over five hundred different shoes and publications relating to the shoe industry.   At Stonehill College guests can find not only these fascinating pieces of US history, but also a beautiful campus that is adorned with fantastic outdoor spaces and fabulous recreational activities.  Recreational facilities include: walking trails, indoor and outdoor athletic tracks, an athletic stadium, tennis courts, baseball fields, multipurpose recreational fields, and outdoor volleyball courts.

Each year, Stonehill welcomes sports camps, leadership institutes, workshops, youth groups, music and theater companies, religious groups of all denominations, and many other unique programs.  Stonehill College can accommodate groups of any size, for any length of time, from a one-day event to a month-long retreat.  At Stonehill College, no request is too large or too small, with services that include: conference support, business amenities, concierge, catering, technology support, 24-hour security, and complimentary laundry.
