Built during the late 1920s, Graylyn showcases gorgeous architectural features with an elegant floating staircase; a stone bridge overlooking a private pond and acres of manicured lawns and gardens. In 1972 the estate was donated to Wake Forest University. After a $6 million renovation, the University introduced the estate as the Graylyn International Conference Center in 1984. Today, this glorious and historic estate’s mission is to support the University by providing scholarships to students that demonstrate exceptional promise in academics and leadership.
Graylyn International Conference Center is nestled among 55-acres in the heart of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Winston-Salem, the “Twin City,” offers Graylyn’s guests experiences of early American charm on-site and locally with Old Salem, the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco factory, Reynolda House and Bethabara Park within minutes of the estate.

The Manor House offers breathtaking ambience from the Main Conference Room with the gorgeous spiral staircase to the Seminar Room that was originally designed to be the garage of the house. Located behind the Manor House is the White Garden with a charming stone gazebo and terrace frame, creating a beautiful natural backdrop for weddings, reunions and outdoor special occasions. Recent renovations to the French cottage, The Mews, has opened 35 beautifully re-designed guest rooms, including six spacious suites with a modern countryside theme. The Mews also features private conference and breakout space, a private dining room, and a hospitality area complete with a business service center, gift shop and fitness center. With a terraced courtyard, efficient meeting space and dedicated break areas, the Management House is the perfect space for larger executive conferences with board rooms, sophisticated audio visual equipment and built in internet connection.
