The University of San Diego offers an inspirational setting for meetings, conferences, retreats, camps and special events. We will help you create a unique, memorable experience for your next San Diego, California event.
Our campus is the perfect location for your conference or event. San Diego offers sunny days and beautiful sunsets; world famous beaches, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, museums, theater and sporting events. The university boasts a plethora of open air spaces, meeting venues, classrooms, and conference spaces that can comfortably accommodate both small and large groups. University of San Diego’s convenient access to housing options include business services and amenities such as suites, apartments, and traditional residence halls for overnight guests. USD also has a partnership with Bartell Hotels that provides access to both budget and luxury hotel accommodations.
University of San Diego also facilitates planning services on a year-round basis and assists with the logistics of your event including event coordination, concierge services, program support, dining and catering services, and more. Meeting & Event Spaces
Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice
The Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice building features state-of-the-art classrooms, conflict resolution and meeting rooms, a 288 seat auditorium, as well as an art gallery. In the front of the building is the La Paloma Café, a great place to grab a sandwich or a cup of coffee and enjoy the beautiful views. Located on the west side of the Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice is the reflection room. The room offers a tranquil setting for quiet reflection as it overlooks a stunning view of the San Diego skyline. Just outside of the reflection room in the Garden of the Sea is the most prized view from campus, a 180-degree panorama of Mission Bay and San Diego Harbor.
Mother Rosalie Hill Hall
Mother Rosalie Hill Hall is a state-of-the art facility that incorporates cutting edge technology in its classrooms. It sits on a picturesque mesa in the northwest corner of campus. MRH Hall has a variety of meeting spaces, including Warren Auditorium, an executive classroom, two plazas, an inner courtyard, six classrooms, and six seminar rooms. Enjoy excellent view of Mission Bay from spacious patios.
Hahn University Center
A multi-purpose venue that houses a large ballroom which can be divided into three smaller areas, indoor meeting rooms, and outdoor spaces with spectacular views. It also holds our in-house restaurant La Gran Terraza.
La Gran Terraza
Featuring fresh, local Californian cuisine including an outstanding lunch buffet and farm-to-table a la carte lunch and dinner menus. An expansive view of Tecolote Canyon and Mission Bay, a spacious floor plan and two-sided fireplace complement your dining experience. Bask in the sun on our delightful terrace while enjoying San Diego's temperate climate.
Degheri Alumni Center
This three-story building features an open air center courtyard and rear patio, a conference center, and living room equipped with yearbooks, photographs and a fireplace.
Jenny Craig Pavilion
The Jenny Craig Pavilion is a 5,100 seat arena usable for sports, concerts and unique events with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment. In addition to the arena, facility includes: a large entry parlor, conference/hospitality suite, locker rooms, sports medicine rooms, weight room and green rooms. Outdoors is Eagan Plaza and a large fountain, ideal for receptions and evenings under the stars.
Shiley Theater
This classically inspired facility seats 600 guests and has a state of the art audio/visual system. The theater can be used on its own or together with the adjacent Camino Courtyard to create the highest quality event.
Camino Courtyard
This large, picturesque, courtyard is framed by a rose garden and Spanish Renaissance architecture. Used alone or in conjunction with the Shiley Theater, this beautiful venue can be the backdrop for your unique event.
Maher Hall
Maher Hall hosts several state of the art classrooms with Smart Board technology. It is home to Salomon Hall, a large multi-configuration room with a built in stage. Also located within Maher is Aroma's Coffee House, which is perfect for an informal or casual gathering. In the courtyard is a lovely Rose Garden, which has hosted outdoor luncheons and private functions.
Camino Hall
Camino Hall is being completely remodeled in 2020. It has several multi-use classrooms, all with smart-board technology and is home to Shiley Theater and the Camino Courtyard.
Loma Hall
Home to USD's new School of Engineering, Loma Hall is equipped with six state-of-the-art "smart classrooms" with high tech interface for the highest quality environment for learning.
Saints Tekakwitha and Serra Hall
Beautiful Saints Tekakwitha and Serra Hall has twelve state-of-the-art "smart classrooms" with high tech equipment for all your meeting needs. A great setting for educational programs or an interactive seminar.

La Gran Terraza
La Gran Terraza is an outstanding location that offers you incredible ambience and a team of dedicated culinary and event professionals, doing it all in the center of the remarkable and beautiful University of San Diego campus. La Gran Terraza is conveniently located within the University Center with breathtaking views of San Diego Bay and Tecolote Canyon, the restaurant includes a sophisticated grand dining room, private wine room, a pub, and an outdoor terrace. O'Tooles
O'Toole's provides guests with a varied, flavorful menu featuring hot and cold tapas as well as heartier pub entrees for lunch and dinner. In the evenings, choose from local, craft beers and an extensive wine list that features many University of San Diego alumni-owned wineries. Student Life Pavilion Dining
Pavilion Dining is home to an array of unique dining concepts that fuse distinct ingredients and flavors to create delicious menus in an inviting environment. Menus were developed in partnership with the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. Recipient of a Silver Loyal E. Horton Award presented by NACUFS for excellence in dining. 7 days a week breakfast, lunch, and dinner items are available a la carte (items priced individually). Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Special dietary restrictions can typically be accommodated.
Tu Mercado
Tu Mercado is a one-stop shopping destination. It hosts a grocery store, delicatessen, and beverage bar that provides coffee, espresso and tea. A gelato counter has a variety of sweet treats. Tu Mercado also has a wide variety of gluten-free options.

USD's award-winning ining program can accommodate special dietary needs such as allergies, gluten-free, Halal, vegetarian, vegan, etc. Please contact us with specific requests.
La Paloma
Enjoy globally inspired, simple, sustainable, local food for your mind and body. Enjoy an in-depth, sustainable menu. Foods are made from scratch in-house whenever possible. Enjoy sandwiches and salads made to order, our Mongolian Grill, breakfast served all day, and a full espresso and tea bar.

Overnight Room Attributes
Alcala Vista Apartments
Four beautiful buildings atop a vista, with gorgeous canyon views. Each apartment has 2-4 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a dinette.
Manchester Village Apartments
Single bedrooms with two to four rooms per apartment. A comfortable living room, kitchen, and dinette.
San Buenaventura Apartments
Beautiful apartments located in the heart of the valley, right next to the state of the art fitness center. Each apartment has 2-4 bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms, with a comfortable living room, kitchen, and dinette.
Valley A Residence Halls
A suite-style residence hall perched upon the canyon, with breathtaking views of the canyon and the bay. Each suite has between 2-6 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, and a comfortable living room. Valley A is located next to the Bosley Fitness Center.
Valley B Residence Halls
Our classic dormitory-style residence halls are nestled into the Valley area near the fitness center, Bosley Cafe, and are just down the hill from main campus. They offer single or multiple occupancy bedrooms, with communal bathrooms and lounges on each floor.
Maher Hall
En suite accommodations located in the heart of our campus, next door to the beautiful Immaculata. Each rooms contains 1-3 beds, and a private-use bathroom. There is a shared lounge on each floor.
Camino Hall & Founders Hall
Camino and Founders dormitory-style residence buildings were remodeled in 2020. Located on the west side of campus, each building has single or multiple occupancy rooms, with communal bathrooms on each floor. New air conditioned lounges with kitchens are now available in each hall. Located just west of the Immaculata Church, each building has a beautiful outdoor courtyard for entertaining or dining, and is prime location adjacent to many of our meeting spaces.
