The historic Timberline Lodge is tucked away amid expansive views of towering trees and spectacular mountain peaks.
This gorgeous lodge, which is only one hour’s drive from Portland, gleams with unmatched natural beauty and hand-hewn excellence in its enviable setting at 6,000 feet on Mount Hood’s south slope. Here, special moments are harvested, and a plethora of breathtaking natural surroundings offer breathtaking vistas and outdoor activities. This magnificent lodge, a National Historic Landmark, was constructed in 1937 as a WPA federal arts project combining craftsmen with apprentices and was dedicated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It features native materials and Old World workmanship combined with modern conveniences.
