The Inn at Montchanin Village & Spa

About

Montchanin Village, which is four miles from Wilmington and is on the National Register of Historic Places, is situated in a region that is rich in American history, culture, and museums. For his son Franklin Roosevelt Jr.’s wedding to Ethel DuPont in 1937, President Franklin D. Roosevelt traveled by rail to Montchanin. The 11 painstakingly restored structures that make up the Village were built between 1799 and 1910. The Inn, which opened its doors in June 1996, has 28 luxurious guestrooms and suites with antique furniture, marble bathrooms, and contemporary conveniences. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll down Privy Lane to appreciate the distinctiveness of this old building and its private grounds.
