The Holly Inn has been one of Pinehurst’s most charming locations for more than a century and is situated in the Pinehurst Historic District, which has been named a U.S. National Historic Landmark. What Pinehurst founder James Walker Tufts had in mind for his opulent getaway is truly realized in The Holly. When it originally opened its doors on New Year’s Eve in 1895, this AAA Four Diamond Award winner has maintained its breathtaking attraction. The original theme carvings, stenciled ceilings, and glass chandeliers that have made The Holly a revered treasure throughout the Village of Pinehurst are still visible to visitors today.
