The Broadmoor has served thousands of visitors who have referred to it as their “home away from home” while remaining true to its history for more than a century. Spencer and Julie Penrose planned for their “metropolitan hotel” of the West to provide opulent lodgings, unforgettable experiences, and lifelong memories. The Broadmoor, which was created by Warren and Wetmore and constructed in 1917 by European craftsmen, debuted in 1918 and immediately rose to prominence as one of the world’s top resorts. The Broadmoor and its Wilderness Experience facilities now cover more than 5,000 acres, giving current visitors a variety of options for their upcoming family vacation while retaining its tradition of unrivaled elegance and service.
