The American Club

About

The American Club was established in 1918 by Walter J. Kohler, Sr., a former president of Kohler Co., to offer housing and rest to immigrant workers employed by Kohler Co. The main building of The American Club underwent major renovations to preserve historic elements, and as a result, the hotel is now rated as a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond hotel. The bathrooms are furnished with contemporary Kohler Co. fixtures, and The American Club’s elegant hallways are lined with artifacts from the town’s rich history. Pete Dye’s four top-notch golf courses, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, a 500-acre nature reserve, Kohler Waters Spa, and the Kohler Design Center all guarantee an unforgettable vacation. It is an authentic American First.
