In 2018, StFX Conferences & Special Events have hosted their largest event ever with more than 1,500 athletes and : the 2018 Special Olympics Summer Games Canada. While the Keating Main Hall of the Charles V. Keating Centre (750 people) and the summer hotel (500 rooms) are only available from May to August, meeting space for up to 300 people is available all year round with accommodations available in hotels and bnbs in close proximity to the conference centre. The welcomes up to 750 guests, while the Frank McKenna Centre for Leadership is an intimate setting ideal for luncheons and small gatherings. Boardrooms and smaller conference rooms are available in the Keating Centre, starting at only $90! With 40 meeting rooms, hotel accommodations and catering services on site, we have everything you need to host your next event here!

StFX also offers an inclusive sporting venue package featuring an artificial turf with an eight-lane 400m rubberized track where events can be held at night under the lights. The Oland Stadium was designed with field lines for football, rugby, soccer and lacrosse. In addition, StFX offers two NHL size hockey arenas, a newly renovated basketball court / seating and a 6-lane/25m pool. Rebates are available for event planners on all hotel rooms booked for teams.

Located where nature and culture meet, the StFX Conference Team supports sustainable development and the protection of Nova Scotian eco-systems. Their green program helped reduce their energy consumption by 27%. More than 18,000 lightbulbs have been replaced with LED lamps and solar panels have been installed. Our program also contributed to reduce their green gas emissions by 21.8% from 2008 to 2017, which is equivalent to take 1500 cars of the road.
