Located at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains in Front Royal, Virginia, we are just sixty miles southwest of Washington, D.C.

Our newly constructed buildings feature state of the art classroom and lab facilities, an intimate residential center, and a flexible-use dining and event venue.

Our event management team can assist you with all aspects of your event, from planning to execution. In your free time learn more about the important animal and conservation research conducted at this world-renowned faciliy. SCBI offers affordable tours of the grounds and animal habitats.

We have world-renowned George Mason University and Smithsonian researchers and animal keepers on site who are available for presentations to our group for an additional fee.
