About

ABOUT US
The Riverdale Hub operates in a beautiful and historic building over 100 years old, located in the heart of Toronto’s Little India. It is perfect for planners seeking an urban, spacious, and unique setting. The Hub was founded by a grassroots women’s organization, the Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre (www.riwc.ca), and is home to many social enterprise initiatives, all of which are spaces available for rent. The building is fully accessible as per the Ontario Building code.

MAIN FLOOR
The building’s main floor features a fair-trade, vegan/vegetarian cafe, the Social Gardener Cafe (www.socialgardener.org), that serves locally-sourced and healthy meals. The Cafe offers catering services as well as an A/V and projector system. It is ideal for events, receptions, music and art performances, film locations, and meetings.

The main floor also features large open-concept meeting spaces; enclosed meeting rooms; and, a rainwater garden. These areas enjoy ample natural light and high ceilings, with windows looking out into the courtyard of the rainwater gardens. Lush grasses flourish in the garden, making its courtyards an ideal setting for corporate, private, or special event lunches, and meetings.

SECOND FLOOR
On the second floor, the building features two private meeting rooms. Both rooms enjoy natural lighting and are equipped with conference calling capabilities. Any event which requires privacy in a spacious room could be held here.

THIRD FLOOR
Housed on the Hub’s third floor are two wings (East & West) of the Riverdale Gallery (www.riverdalegallery.ca), perfect for creative and arts-based functions, and tripling as an events and studio space. In a large North Wing, there is a bright and open events space equipped with a 3D projector and HD screen. The Riverdale Gallery and North Wing are perfect for music nights, performances, film screenings, wedding receptions, conferences, birthday, and any special events. Throughout the third floor, the 14-foot ceilings perfectly accent the three spaces, while anchored by a newly renovated kitchen with a bar. The kitchen is available for cooking demonstrations and classes. A state-of-the-art sound system spans the entire third floor, with each space fully equipped.

ROOFTOP
The Hub’s organic rooftop garden is a serene setting for intimate receptions or parties. There is a breathtaking view of the downtown Toronto skyline, making for an elegant and unique event opportunity.
