Potomac Park Retreat & Conference Center is the Baltimore and DC region conference center in the Christian Retreats Network. We feature year-round recreation and accommodations for up to 400 overnight guests. Our quiet and peaceful property is a destination to encounter God and His creation.
Our retreat packages include everything your group needs for a successful ministry event: lodging, dining, meeting, and recreation.
Meeting & Event Spaces
Conference Auditorium
The Conference Auditorium is a multifunctional venue! Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a spiritually invigorating environment. The primary space accommodates up to five hundred attendees, while the two adjacent rooms can each host up to one hundred guests. Thanks to wall partitions, the side rooms can be combined, extending the overall capacity to a maximum of seven hundred! Equipped with a stage measuring 45'x15', a soundboard, a lighting system, and a projector, the Conference Auditorium ensures a complete event experience. Additionally, the side rooms feature wall-mounted TVs, and upon request, portable A/V equipment is readily available.
Conference Room
Situated within the Conference Center Building, the Conference Room has a seating capacity for 350 individuals, a portable sound system, and a video screen. Its elongated rectangular layout enables creative chair configurations, providing planners with ample choices. In addition to the main space, the Conference Room offers two smaller side rooms suitable for various purposes, such as a camp office, nursery, or breakout space. For added convenience, the main room includes a kitchen countertop serving as a practical area for snacks, beverages, and more.
Cover Center Meeting
The Wendell Cover Prayer Center provides stunning views of the Potomac Valley. Ideal for mid-sized retreats, this meeting space is conveniently located near the Wigfield Dormitory. With a capacity for 150 guests, it allows for flexible chair arrangements, offering planners a range of options to customize the space to their preferences.
Schaefer Conference Room
Tailored for mid-sized retreats, the Schaefer Conference Room is conveniently located next to the Schaefer Motel Rooms and the Mason Dormitory. With a capacity for 150 guests, it provides flexibility for various chair arrangements, offering planners many choices to customize the space to their preferences.
Hensley Hall
Ideal for large conference workshops or indoor activities, Hensley Hall features an indoor gymnasium on the upper level and an activity hall on the lower level. Its laid-back setup makes it a favored choice among leadership groups.
Small Group Spaces
Four small meeting spaces can be found across the Potomac Park campus, accommodating groups of 10-40 individuals. These spaces offer seclusion and privacy, providing a serene and distraction-free atmosphere.

Dining Room
Buffet dining is a standard feature included in all our retreat packages. We offer self-service buffet lines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our Lakeside Dining Room, allowing you to enjoy an all-you-can-eat experience.
Meeting Room Food and Beverage Service
It’s the idea of water cooler talk; people gather around food to fellowship! So let us help you get the most out of your retreat fellowship times. Let us handle all preparation and clean up, so you can focus on ministering to your attendees. You can add some extra comfort to your meeting room with a hot decanter of coffee, teas, or ice water; maybe a tray of fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers, or fresh baked cookies. Think outside the box! Try our s’mores package during your group bonfire.

Overnight Room Attributes
Conference Center Motel
The Conference Center motel-style rooms are an excellent option for adult retreats. The 16 guest rooms are located on the second floor of the Conference Center building and can accommodate up to 58 guests. Each room has two queen beds, a small credenza, a chair, a flat-screen TV with satellite, and a private restroom and shower. Linens and towels are provided. Two of the sixteen rooms offer a generously sized king bed.

Schaefer Motel
The Schaefer Motel rooms are located on the second floor of the Shaefer Conference Meeting Center. Twelve of the twenty available rooms include various configurations of bunk beds, full beds, and twin beds. Each room has its own private restroom and shower; linens and towels are included. The remaining eight rooms have a single king-size bed with a private bathroom and shower. Linens and towels are included. Each room adjoins another room for space sharing and fellowship. However, the adjoining door can be locked for privacy.

Long Motel
The Long Motel is an excellent option for large groups. There are nineteen guest rooms with space for up to sixty-three guests. Each room provides a private restroom, shower, linens, and towels. Room configurations vary but include a mix of full beds and twin beds.

Wigfield Dorm
The Wigfield Dorm is great for groups seeking affordable dorm-style lodging and meeting space. Five of the ten rooms are located on the first floor and sleep forty-four guests. Each room has private outdoor access. The other five rooms are located on the second level and sleep forty-two guests; these rooms are accessible from inside. Each room includes bunk beds and a private restroom with a shower. There is a second sink and vanity in the main room. Linens are not included but can be added upon request!
Mason Dorm
The Mason Dorm building is another great option for groups wanting affordable dorm-style retreat packages. The self-contained building allows groups to split genders among the rooms and still have a common area for devotionals and fellowship. The Mason dorm is located next to the Schaefer Motel and Dining Room. Sixteen rooms sleep a total of sixty-four guests. Each room is arranged similarly and offers a combination of bunk beds, a chair, nightstands, and a small dresser or desk. Two shared restrooms and shower facilities are located off the main hallway. Linens and towels are not included but can be added upon request!

Cover Dorm
The Cover Dorm is located on the west side of our property below the Cover Prayer Center Meeting Room. There are four rooms, each with six bunk beds. These rooms are open-concept, creating a common area perfect for fellowship.

Potomac Lodge
For groups wanting more secluded lodging, the Potomac Lodge offers sought after privacy. The lower level contains a bedroom with one queen bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room. The upper level includes three bunk beds, two twin beds, two desks, and a couch.
