About
Pomona College in Claremont is centrally located in the Southern California area within commuting distance to a number of local attractions.
Pomona College’s Conference & Event Planning team oversees the rental of facilities (e.g., classrooms, residential halls, dining halls, etc.) for mid-size conferences, meetings, and retreats. We also offer our dining halls, beautiful outdoor venues and other spaces on campus for Claremont area weddings, parties, banquets, etc.
Pomona College has a private off-campus “Trails End Ranch” as well, which is perfect for corporate/educational retreats. The Main House venue will accommodate groups of 40 or less and includes one large room and three breakout rooms.
Meeting & Event Spaces
Edmunds Ballroom
The largest space in the center, the Edmunds Ballroom can seat 256 at round tables for dining events, 500 in audience row seating and up to 900 if cleared. There is also a portable stage available for performance. Various setups available.
Rose Hills Theatre
Located in the lower level of the Smith Campus Center, this state of the art presentation space features video, 35 mm film, slide and computer projection as well as a built-in A/V system. With audience seating, this is an ideal space for lectures, films or multimedia presentations. The lobby offers a convenient location for pre- or post-event receptions.
Sontag Greek Theatre
Located in a wonderful wooded area, it is secluded from traffic yet a five minute walk from the center of campus. The amphitheater has permanent seating for 600. The entire area with lawn seating can accommodate 2000, although sight-lines may be limited. Limited built in lighting and A/V. Permanent seating arrangement. Limited rest rooms.
Doms Lounge
The room contains a stage, intricate lighting, a "plug and play" sound system, as well as a built-in bar and pool table. The Lounge is accessible through a stairwell off of the Campus Center's main breezeway. An outdoor patio features tables and chairs, tiered seating and an inclined grassy area.
Bridges Auditorium
Bridges Auditorium, also known as Big Bridges, is one of the premier college venues in Southern California. Dedicated in 1931, this historic theatre is modeled after the opera houses and concert halls of Europe and is of the Italian Renaissance architectural style. The auditorium has 2,430 fixed seats and in-house lighting and sound is available. For catered events the lobby can accommodate up to 200 and the north patio can seat 250.
Mabel Shaw Bridges Hall of Music
This 550-seat gem of a concert hall better known as "Little Bridges," sits within the grounds of Pomona College on Fourth Street just east of College Avenue.
Memorial Garden
Trails End Ranch
A 53 acre "ranch" located in Webb Canyon north of Claremont, California. The property consists of a main house converted into retreat space and a barn used for academic field activities. The house has a large central courtyard on one side and a veranda on the other side overlooking the property. Trails End Ranch offers meeting and event rooms suitable for 12 to 46 people, which are all equipped with Wi-Fi.
