Lake Chalet – Chalet Restaurant Group

Located on the Jewel of Oakland, Lake Merritt, Lake Chalet features an expansive dock for seating 300+ guests, two heated dock wings, 3 indoor private rooms and 3 bars. Lake Chalet is built at Lake Merritt’s Municipal Boat House, constructed originally in 1909.
The dock provides a picturesque space for receptions, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and entertainment, while the interior wings of the restaurant provide accomdations for meetings and private events.
The Gondola Room provides 3 walls of windows and two balconies overlooking Lake Merritt, with it’s own dedicated bar, kitchen, bathrooms, and entrace. The two dock wings may be combined with the adjacent fire pits, providing a blend of formal and casual between cocktails and dinner. The interior of the restaurant showcases two beautiful bars overlooking the Lake, as well as 3 separate dining rooms. The Private Dining Room is adorned with a fireplace, A/V, windows on 3 sides, and may be configured for a formal or casual event.
The entire venue may be bought-out for very large private events, or can serve as the perfect space for smaller all-day meetings in one of its many private spaces.
