The Hotel Lombardy has the singular benefit of a historic lodging evoking a cozy, small-town home in the heart of the nation’s capital. This is no accident; the Hotel Lombardy was originally a private home that was transformed into a traditional European-style hotel in the late 1970s. The hotel is adorned with elaborate Oriental woolen rugs and genuine regional art and looks out onto historic Pennsylvania Avenue. Each of the 140 guestrooms and expansive suites features a stainless steel wet bar with café seating, gorgeous chrome-and-white bathrooms, and imported Italian and German fabrics. Each bedroom features luxurious bedding that draws the eye, and the walls are decorated with unique, handmade art.
