About

Hope College is located adjacent to downtown Holland, Michigan and you can quickly and conveniently walk to discover 120 unique shops and restaurants nearby. Sandy beaches, beautiful parks on Lake Michigan, and other local attractions are nearby, as well, ensuring there is no shortage of scenic areas for guests to explore.

The college campus, which includes the Haworth Hotel and Conference Center, sits on over 125 acres of beautifully maintained grounds which include dedicated green spaces, a stand-alone art museum, premier athletic facilities, housing for over 2,000 students, and a range of historic and contemporary architecture housing academic programs across the campus.

A $7.5 million renovation of the Haworth Hotel and Conference Center, designed by the renowned Italy-based designer, Patricia Urquiola, unveiled an essentially new hotel in 2021. The college also built a Music Building (2015) that includes an 800-seat auditorium and a Student Center (2017). Not to be overlooked is our gorgeous 1,000-seat Gothic-inspired church and a historic academic building with additional meeting space.

The Haworth Hotel and Conference Center features over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, complemented by award-winning catering. You can host everything from small meetings to a cash bar reception. Plus, since it is located on the Hope College campus, your event can easily expand into other venues.

The Hope College Events and Conferences Office (ECO) assists planners in crafting the best possible event. We boast an experienced team of conference and event managers, technical support, and, generally, pretty nice people.

Testimonials

We loved having our service at Dimnent! The chapel added a wonderful atmosphere and brought back certain memories for Christen and I. Our friends and family thought it was a beautiful location. They loved the simplicity of walking to Haworth from the chapel and they raved about the food. Thanks!

Tony and Christen Bordenkircher

We discovered a gold mine in Hope College as the site for our church conference of 160 delegates. From the planning stages through the week on campus, the staff who worked with us were outstanding in their helpfulness and willingness to provide for our needs. Attendees suggested returning to Hope annually!

Marjory Leas, Convention Planning Committee, Swedenborgian Church

The Challenge of Children Coalition has been using Hope College as the venue for our parenting conference for many years, and we have always been pleased with the outcome. The conference planning staff is always informative and very easy to work with. The facilities are in wonderful condition with updated technology available to support the latest innovations used by our presenters. On our participant evaluations we always receive wonderful comments about the food, with an emphasis on how much everyone loves the large selection that is offered. We look forward to having many more years of first class experiences with Hope College and their friendly and competent staff.

Pam Land, Challenge of Children

Our organization has always enjoyed holding our functions at Hope College. Our organization has always enjoyed holding our functions at Hope College. The staff at the Hope College Conference Center was extremely helpful when we had our biennial conference there in June. The Hope facility is easy to locate and get around and being so close to downtown Holland was an added bonus.

Karen Krause, Past President- Michigan League of Handweavers

After 15 years of running camp at Hope College we find the facilities and personnel to be excellent. The staff is organized and assistive in all aspects of facility use from the planning and contracting stages to the arrival on campus. Once the camp begins, the staff of Hope Conference services are cordial and helpful in every detail. We believe we could not find a better venue for running our camps.

Coach Steve Smith- Hope College Men's Soccer Coach

We enjoy large, airy studios with good floors, lighting, ballet barres and mirrors. While students experience dorm life, our guest faculty is housed in apartments with laundry and kitchen facilities. The food is good, healthy and plentiful. We love our experience and wouldnt think of going anywhere else.

Ann Parsley, Cecchetti Council of America
