East Georgia State College
About
East Georgia State College’s main campus, located in Swainsboro, is renowned as one of the USG’s most beautiful and largest physical campuses, and many of its 385.61 acres remain undisturbed on land that was gifted in large part by Luck Flanders Gambrell. The campus contains a blend of original buildings from its opening in 1973 as Emanuel County Junior College, as well as new, state of the art modern buildings including the residence halls, Bobcat Villas West and South, the Jean Anderson Morgan (JAM) Student Activities Center, a Gymnasium and P.E. Complex, the Sudie A. Fulford Community Learning Center and Planetarium, and a soon-to-be expanded and newly renovated Academic Building. Additionally, the campus features two small lakes and outdoor venues, including baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, a ropes course, nature trail, and a 3.1 cross country track.
