The Crockett Hotel, a 1909-built historic boutique hotel in San Antonio, is located close to the location where Davy Crockett and a small group of outnumbered Texans defended the southeast bulwark of the Alamo during a 13-day siege in 1836. The hotel had a thorough makeover in 2007, restoring it to its former magnificence. Intimacy and elegance of a boutique hotel are evoked in the guestrooms, which also feature local artwork that honors the area’s heritage and lovely plantation shutters that let warm San Antonio sun into each room.
