Unique Venues Spring 2020 Magazine – Publisher’s Letter

Spring has almost sprung, and like some of you, I am looking forward to all things spring! More specifically, I’m looking forward to watching my oldest daughter’s tee ball practices and attending games – there is something about baseball season that makes springtime feel more official. Which is why in this particular issue, we are focusing on the unique events and meetings that take place at sports arenas, stadiums, and parks. In our feature article, Leveling the Playing Field (click here), we introduce planners to the world of creating memorable events at some of the most well-known sports venues in the U.S. In sticking with our sports-themed edition, we also take you on a road trip to our partner universities in the Big Ten Football Conference (click here). Many of these universities have high-tech, flexible, and affordable meeting spaces – perfect for hosting youth sports camps, as well!

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the importance of the acceptance of diversity and inclusion. At Unique Venues, one of our belief statements is, “Our uniqueness is what unites us,” and I believe that to be one of the driving forces behind the success of our company and how our team lives out our lives both personally, and professionally. As event planners, it can unfortunately be difficult to find venues that accommodate culturally diverse meetings and events. We highlight two of our partner venues in the piece, Diversity and Inclusion Give Sparkle to Venues (click here), that focus on the importance of providing a stellar experience and atmosphere to help attendees feel safe, welcomed, and included.

I hope you enjoy this first edition of 2020 – don’t forget, you can always send an RFP directly to the venues that are featured in this magazine by clicking the “Get a Quote” button in each article, or by clicking any ad twice.

Stay Unique!
