Unique Venues Announces Winners of Fifth Annual “Best of” Awards

UNIQUE VENUES CELEBRATES BIG, BETTER, BEST
MEETING & EVENT SPACES WITH FIFTH ANNUAL “BEST OF” AWARDS

Winners in 20+ categories are profiled in the new Unique Venues magazine, FREE for planners

JOHNSTOWN, PA (December 19, 2018) – For the fifth consecutive year, Unique Venues names the 2018 Best of Award winners, celebrating non-traditional meeting and event spaces such as college and university campuses, cultural and historical centers, arenas and stadiums, and more special venues. The winners, spanning more than 20 categories, are voted on by readers of Unique Venues magazine, a community of 55,000-plus planners across the U.S. and Canada, and then profiled in the annual winter edition.

These prized awards are a one-of-a-kind honor recognizing the properties that often get overlooked by other industry awards, with categories ranging from “best locally sourced catering” to “best reunion spot,” “best youth or sports camp venue,” and more. Unique Venues also recognizes four venues that delivered creative and effective marketing awards, and names a distinguished Professional of the Year—for 2018, the honor goes to Arrowhead Stadium’s Kimberly Kruse.

“While we champion all of our member venues every day, this is the one time of the year we can share how hardworking, meaningful, and beneficial non-traditional meeting and event spaces are within the greater industry,” says Unique Venues CEO Chuck Salem. “The Unique Venues Best of Awards are an important honor for members of our niche community that often don’t fit in with traditional award ‘categories’ but are just as deserving as standard venues like hotels. They are proof for why there is so much growing demand for one-of-a-kind spaces.”

In addition to the Best of Awards, the new Winter 2019 Issue has 90-plus pages full of rich content targeted to planners, including a ‘road trip’ to several venues in the Pacific Northwest, a look at what’s trending for 2019, and an event profile showcasing how Pearl Jam expertly teamed up with a Seattle stadium to help combat homelessness.

The magazine is distributed FREE of charge to 55,000 professional and accredited planners in the U.S. and Canada. As well, the magazine is delivered electronically to an additional 36,000+ professional and freelance planners. To join the mailing list for Unique Venues magazine, simply register here.

In addition, the UniqueVenues.com website features a comprehensive database of all member listings including contact information, photo and video galleries, menus, meeting room capacities, a FREE RFP service, and more.
