UNIQUE VENUES ANNOUNCES INDUSTRY’S FIRST-EVER BEST OF AWARDS HONORING SPECIAL EVENT LOCATIONS IN 25 CATEGORIES
Voted on by readers of Unique Venues magazine, winners are profiled in latest issue out now
EDWARDS, COLORADO (November 18, 2014) – There’s always a first for everything. For Unique Venues, that was being the first to recognize the need for an organization that catered to the non-conventional meeting and event venues when the company started in 1986. Today, it’s being the first to bestow official awards for the leaders in this niche industry.
In an unprecedented move, Unique Venues has announced its inaugural Best of Awards, which allowed readers of its quarterly magazine to vote for winners in 25 categories including best venue to film a movie, best venue for a formal affair and best place to host an LGBT-friendly event. All winners (and runners up) are profiled in the Winter 2015 edition of the magazine, available now and free to planners in the U.S. and Canada.
“There are a lot of ‘best of awards’ in the traditional hotel industry, but we are proud to say ours is different,” says Unique Venues Founder Michele Nichols. “Our awards not only give a spotlight to the museums, event centers, cruise ships and college and university campuses that are sometimes overlooked as meeting venues, but our profiles on each explain how they standout for planners and help other unique spaces understand where they can improve. This issue will help advance our industry on many levels.”
