MEET OUR TEAM MEMBER
Chuck Salem
CEO, Unique Venues
Chuck was born a VERY long time ago in Johnstown PA. It’s a small city known for a great flood, but he likes to remember it for being the place where he grew up and raised his children. Chuck is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and is a rabid fan of Pitt sports. He also has a master’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition to PA, he’s lived in Cheltenham, England for a short time as well as Pittsburgh, Northern VA/DC area and now Lewes/Rehoboth Beach DE, which is his paradise. Chuck is so happy to be married to the co-owner of Unique Venues, Neal Burghardt. He has three incredibly wonderful adult children, Sara Eggleston, Alyson Dello and Corey Salem, who all work for Unique Venues. He also has five amazing grandkids who bring him more joy than he can describe…Micah, Mackenzie, Madeline, Andrew, and Luke. Finally, Chuck has a Tamily (Team + Family) that he feels incredibly fortunate to work with. We’re not quite the Tedd Lasso Tamily just yet, but you have to have goals!
- I have a glass studio in my home where I create interesting art pieces for my home and as gifts for others
- When I was young, everyone called me Chuck. I’m no spring chicken but my sisters and many of my cousins still call me Chuckie (often with Honey attached to it – Chuckie Honey!)
- I’m 100% Lebanese and quite proud of my heritage. One sure way to lose favor with me is to tell me I don’t look Lebanese
What is the most memorable trip you’ve ever been on and what made it special?
Honeymoon cruise to Norway.
