Summer Camps are around the corner and this has me dreaming of s’more’s, campfires, and insect repellent. When you think of summer camp, do you picture tents or are you following the trends of “Glamping”?
We have some pretty unique meeting locations for summer camps that take your traditional camp experience to a whole new level.
Check out the Arkansas 4-H Center.
No need for building a fire or pitching a tent at this location. The Arkansas 4-H center features hotel-like accommodations with twin and bunk beds that sleep 6 people to a room. If it is food you are most curious about on your glamping adventure then dining with views of the lake and Ouachita Mountains should do the trick. No fear in fighting off bears while eating!
Located near Little Rock, Arkansas allows for you and your guests to escape downtown for some live music and local restaurant flair. But let’s be honest about my personal fear of camping and why the 4-H Center is ideal for combatting my greatest fear- internet access. Yes, the Center has wireless access so I can post pictures of my glamping adventures.
Perhaps a summer camp at Eagle Rock Retreat Center is the perfect alternative to traditional tent camping. 250 people can stay for a group retreat at Eagle Rock in Missouri. Buffet indoor meals, meeting-space, and residence hall cabins to give your guests the feel that they are staying in a log cabin.
Did I mention that the food is not your traditional hot dogs and soup over a camp fire? I’m talking make-your-own waffle bars, baked ziti dinner buffet, and desserts like apple pie that will give your Grandma a run for her money!
