Campus life is bustling from dusk to dawn at Ontario’s Residence & Conference Centre Mohawk College Campus in Hamilton. The demands of campus life often take their toll on students and staff causing a condition that has been affectionately coined as the “slowhawk syndrome.” This refreshing and rejunvenating drink was designed to combat the symptoms of “slowhawk” and has become the signature cocktail of the food and beverage staff (and students since the drinking age in Canada is 18-19 depending on the province). It’s easily recognized by its school colors.
Ingredients:
1½ oz Jack Daniels
½ oz Triple sec
1 can Energy Drink (i.e. Monster)
Drizzle of Grenadine
To prepare:
1. Combine all and serve in a rocks glass over ice.
2. Garnish with a fresh orange slice.
