Richmond Hill City Center in Georgia brings the outdoors in

Special Event Venues

The perfect combination of environmental stewardship and elegant Southern charm, Richmond Hill City Center in Richmond Hill, Georgia blends genuine comfort and efficiency.

Beautiful Ballrooms. Gracious Grounds. Formal or fun, Richmond Hill City Center provides the perfect setting for ceremonies, receptions and dinners as well as bridal showers, luncheons and rehearsal dinners.  Deep porches and glass-filled walls invite guests to enjoy the scenic beauty of the setting.

“Everything about this building is picturesque,” says Director and Executive Chef Kermit Griffin.  “It’s a perfect unique venue for weddings and special events and those looking for a calming place to hold a business meeting.”

The Richmond Hill City Center is designed to host a variety of meetings and event types and sizes, including larger conferences with simultaneous break-outs sessions, as well as weddings and special events.  The 3,200-square foot ballroom can host up to 400 guests for receptions and 250 for banquets.

Environmental Stewardship is a part of the day-to-day culture where all guests enjoy the benefits of our Environmental Management Program. Richmond Hill City Center is LEED-certified by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, indoor environmental quality and innovative design.   In fact, the Richmond Hill City Center is the only LEED certified building in Bryan County, which attracts a lot of planners.

For example, flooring in the Red Bird Creek Dining Room is made of cork, and the tables and chairs are constructed of locally grown bamboo.  One notable sustainable feature is their state-of-the-art HVAC unit, which senses CO2 levels in the spaces and regulates the amount of oxygen in the room, maintaining optimum levels for meetings.  “Planners have selected us for that very feature,” says Griffin.

Cutting-edge conference technology is the hallmark at Richmond Hill City Center.  Specially designed ergonomic furniture, Wi-Fi high-speed connectivity, audio-visual equipment and a dedicated and experienced staff are all on hand to help planners.

Griffin serves up high attention to detail in the kitchen.  “If it’s your special occasion dinner, I want your own individual tastes and style to come through,” said the former New York chef.  “It’s like having a party at your own home. What would you want it to be like?”

Griffin and his on-site Culinary Team proudly incorporate sustainable agriculture and environmental practices in the creation of a unique epicurean experience for every guest – where the freshest local ingredients are the essence of every meal

Griffin’s plans for the future include facilitating the usage of the local trails around the facility.  “When people come for corporate meetings, they comment on how well we anticipate their needs,” says Griffin.  “One need I see us meeting in the future is providing groups with a guide to enjoy the outdoors, take a break, and utilize the trails around our facility.”
