National 4-H Youth Conference Center

Camps & Retreat Centers, Conference & Business Centers

The Washington, D.C. Area has a new and unusual meeting and conference venue worth consideration. Designed for and by young people, the National 4-H Youth Conference Center offers up 41 meeting rooms, some 44,000 square feet of activity space, all in a very convenient location. Able to serve equally well as venue for organizational meetings, ceremonies or team-building exercises as it does for youth conferences or retreats, this extraordinary special event facility offers great flexibility. The campus is uplifting and spacious, very different from the usual constructs in the area. The 4-H is truly a unique Washington DC conference center.

There's a size and space for every need, from rooms that hold a maximum of 15 people to a 550-seat theatre-style room that is ideal for lectures, presentations or cinematic viewings. The AV equipment, including podiums, lecterns, flip charts, chairs, tables, and ice water service, are all included. Additional state-of-the-arts multimedia gear is also available. They can provide an A/V technician at a low cost, as needed. Rooms that feature built-in sound systems will also be provided.

Dining facilities are also flexible. The Clover Cafe is the Youth Conference Center's main dining area, and serves three meals daily for up to 450 people. Private dining is also available for as many as 65 people, (with an upgraded service package.) Larger groups may be able to be accommodated for private banquets as well. The watchword here is flexibility. You can get what you need without paying for more than you need. This Washington DC special event facility features very attractive courtyards, the sort of outdoors and nature areas one would expect from a rural organization. The outdoor spaces are also designed to be used, and can serve well for receptions, reunions or dances during appropriate seasons. There's ample complimentary parking for 200 cars and a dozen buses right there on campus!

You'll find an internet cafe, basketball and volleyball courts, lounges, and a recreation room… all the things that young people (and the young at heart) most enjoy are facilitated at this unique venue. Lodging for up to 800 overnight attendees in bunk-bed style… just like summer camps and retreats in rural environments, but right there in Washington, D.C.!

Though the Conference Center originally opened its doors in 1959, it has been in a constant state of improvement and expansion, making it one of the most modern, casual and practical residential training facilities in the area. Owing its fresh state to corporate donations, the National 4-H organization feels it only appropriate that it be open to schools, educational and professional organizations and associations, government agencies, churches, and other community organizations.

Located on 12 acres, the facilities meet ADA access standards. Downtown D.C. is 5 minutes away; Arlington, VA is just two minutes further. Ronald Reagan National Airport is 30 minutes away. Perhaps most importantly, the facility is available all year long. There are also nearby hotels that can provide more and different overnight lodgings, as needed. A business center is available, and meals can be all-you-can-eat from the cafeteria or individually ordered from their chef's menus. Package rates are individually customized to work within your budget. Very few spaces anywhere can offer such diversity. Give them a call! See what 4-H can do for your special event.
