Is your group seeking a venue that will deliver a truly unique experience for your next corporate retreat, business meeting, or gathering? The Colorado Rocky Mountains are among the most breathtaking places in all of North America, and the Lost Valley Ranch in Sedalia, Colorado is right in the heart of those picturesque alpine vistas. Just 85 miles from Denver, Colorado, this ranch offers a remote setting without sacrificing service, quality of accommodations, or culinary excellence. Open from March 1 through May 25th and then again from September 1 through the first of December for business groups, the summer months between service family reunions.
The Lost Valley Ranch can accommodate up to 60 people overnight, 100 for daily theatre-style seating. There are four separate meeting and event rooms. Wireless Internet is provided to all meeting rooms, and there’s a complete AV support system. Cell service is unlikely within the rooms, but some carriers’ signals can be acquired elsewhere on the ranch.

Rates are all inclusive (food, lodging, meeting rooms, AV equipment, gratuity and tax are all included in the rate.) Meals are “homestyle,” featuring Marion Foster’s own recipes. They can be served by plate, or at a buffet, depending on your needs and preferences. Since this is an informal environment, many choose to embrace that as fully as possible.
The ranch is a AAA approved facility, offering trail rides, a pool, formal tennis courts, and excellent fly fishing. The main lodge and buildings are alpine-style with lots of peeled logs, and large comfortable suites. Your guests will enjoy all the amenities of a proper resort in this laid-back environment. Ideal for team-building exercises and planning sessions, or even just a well-earned getaway, Lost Valley Ranch is one of the best and most convenient such venues for corporate retreats in the Rockies.
Remote though this location may be, it’s a mere 85 miles miles southwest of Denver International Airport, in the midst of the incomparable Pike National Forest. Colorado Springs is about the same distance to the southeast of the ranch. If you’re inclined to get out and explore, a pleasant 2.5-3 hours’ drive will take you through beautiful country on the way to Fairplay, and beyond to world-famous Breckenridge, Colorado.
The area’s reputation is well-deserved. There’s abundant wildlife — everything from bird-watching (including several species of hawks, eagles and owls) to moose, deer and elk. Of course, the mountains, rivers and streams themselves are already an ample reward, but one could easily spend the entire time there simply taking in all of nature’s splendor!
Of course, one could go to the developed ski resort areas, but this is the real Rocky Mountains. You and your guests can enjoy an authentic experience without sacrificing any conveniences at the Lost Valley Ranch. Give them a call, let them help you design and book your next event there!
