The High Country Conference Center is focused on making the smallest carbon footprint possible by implementing a wide array of sustainable strategies – such as reducing electricity through the use of compact florescent bulbs, motion-sensor lights and HVAC system; decreasing water consumption by using waterless urinals and low-flow faucets throughout the facility and reducing energy consumption with the use of a state-of-the-art reflective roof and passive solar windows. In addition, HCCC has eliminated all bottled water and moved to a 100% filtered water with a reusable glassware program. The conference center itself is built to LEED silver specifications.
The High Country Conference Center is a member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), which recognizes conference centers that meet their stringent standards for both quality and service. High Country was awarded IACC’s Green Star Gold Status designation, in recognition for their commitment to sustainability in 2011, and again in 2012. This designation recognizes High Country’s position as a leader in environmental responsibility. HCCC was also recently named one of the best conference centers in the nation by receiving the Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings Magazine and the Gold Key Award form Meetings and Conventions Magazine.

To some, sustainable conferencing is a thing for the future, but at High Country Conference Center it is the standard for today. It may not be easy to be green, but at High Country Conference Center ecological integrity is the standard for environmental achievement. With this type of integrity, HCCC can not only be a positive influence on our planet, but also your upcoming meeting or event.
