Christmas in July! Now’s the Time to Plan Your Holiday Parties

Planner Tips

The best venues will fill up quickly. At Unique Venues, we've been seeing a lot of RFP's for holiday parties in the last few weeks. It's never too early to get a jumpstart on your holiday party plans – this year in particular since Thanksgiving in the US and Canada falls later in the calendar. Prime dates at our best reception halls, banquet halls and party venues will be gone soon! That means it will be all the more competitive to secure a venue and vendors for a December gala. One tip: Look for a unique space that is flexible with dates and restrictions. Here are a few others:

1 – Complete an RFP or "Request More Information" directly from venues at uniquevenues.com.

2 – Consider asking the event venue to put a tentative hold on the space giving you the first right of refusal. Essentially, you're holding the space unless someone else wants to book it. Should another group express interest, the event facility will contact you and give you 24 hours to book the space or release it.

3 – Don't limit your options to reception halls and banquet facilities. Think outside the box: colleges, universities, arenas, race tracks, you get the idea. Your guests will be intrigued (and excited) for something different this year and chances are, the party will be well attended because of that!
