Located 20 miles north of downtown L.A., just half of that from Hollywood, and a mere 20 minutes from Burbank Airport, CSUN is in the north-central part of the San Fernando Valley. Such a location lacks nothing, and is able to tap into all the resources of the movie capital of the world. If you want it, it's either right there for you, or can be gotten quickly. With so many attractions nearby, CSUN makes for a very affordable venue which provides guests with access to Universal Studios, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, and the Pacific Ocean, and scores of scores of other engaging activities.
Summer facilities are available from June 1st through August 10th, when CSUN is able to welcome up to 1300 overnight guests at a time. Throughout the year, up to 800 daytime guests are made welcome to use up to 30 meeting and event rooms, including a classroom setting that seats 132, or a theatre that can seat all 800! Of course, off-campus food and lodgings are just a short walk from the campus as well, and are available any time of the year.
CSUN's Department of Leisure Studies & Recreation has a Ropes course for team building. A problem-solving exercise which requires integrative solutions, this is a fun and popular alternative to a classroom-style workshop.
The CSUN campus is a great place for meetings and events of any kind. Their facilities are diverse, practical for all sorts of purposes.
