When you call a business, what is the average time it takes to actually talk to a human being? How much  business do you think is lost due to frustrated callers who eventually hang up? I have spent years of my life transferring through phone systems and once I reach a human, they can typically answer my question in two seconds flat!

Here at Unique Venues, we make every effort to answer every phone call personally.  I would like to challenge our members to do the same and see if you book more business.  This may require answering calls from solicitors or listening to those annoying pre-recorded calls, but you can ask not to be contacted anymore and stop these types of calls in the future.

If you can't answer every call, make sure your phone prompts are entertaining.  For instance, I recently called Groovy Like A Movie (a cool event venue in San Diego).  As I was deciding which number to press to talk to the person that I wanted, it said "press 8" to hear a dirty joke.  I was very tempted to "press 8", but pressed "0" instead to connect with the person I was intending to call.
