I may be a bit behind on the whole Twitter phenomenon, but now that I understand exactly what it is, I couldn't help but think that this could be a very useful tool in the meetings and event industry. For those of you who still aren't quite sure what I am talking about, twitter allows people all over the world to follow the sources/subjects most relevant to them – in real time.
Venues, what a great way to post your hot dates, specials, news, etc… Are you a planner? Twitter could help you advertise your event, or keep your attendees up-to-date with event information. I'm sure you can come up with your own creative ideas!
