Sunset Coffee Building

Consider a unique and historic space on Buffalo Bayou for your next party. Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s Sunset Coffee Building has breathtaking views of downtown Houston and the Buffalo Bayou/White Oak Bayou confluence. This raw, industrial building, built in 1910 and renovated in 2016, has the potential to be the backdrop for your next company party or transformed to bring your wedding reception or birthday party to life. Whether you’re having an intimate cocktail party on the rooftop, utilizing the indoor space and balcony for a seated dinner, or tenting the large plaza area for an al fresco banquet, the Sunset Coffee Building is a venue guests will remember. We invite you to explore the history and architectural beauty of the Sunset Coffee Building at Allen’s Landing. Sunset Coffee Building is located at 1019 Commerce Street, Houston, Texas 77002.

The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park

Eleanor Tinsley Park

Named in honor of the late City Councilmember and civic activist, Eleanor Tinsley, this park is one of Houston’s most popular outdoor spaces for recreation and relaxation. Recent improvements include the signature Bud Light Amphitheater lawn, the open-air Nau Family Pavilion, and a trail providing a direct connection to Sabine Promenade. Other points of interest are: sand volleyball court, Eleanor Tinsley Garden and Jane Gregory Garden. Eleanor Tinsley Park is located along Allen Parkway between Sabine Street and Taft.

Pavilion Rentals

Near The Water Works and the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark, the Barbara Fish Daniel Nature Play Area and Picnic Pavilion is one of the park’s most popular destinations. Designed to inspire a love of nature within children, features of the play area include: a boulder rock scramble, a rolling lawn, a stream and waterfall, climbing logs and stones, and a 33-foot slide. The most compelling component is a tri-level tree house/boat deck with climbing net. You can rent the picnic pavilion for children’s birthday parties and celebrations (6 picnic tables accommodate 50 guests). The Barbara Fish Daniel Picnic Pavilion is located next to The Water Works at 105 Sabine Street, Houston, Texas 77007.
