Sullivan County Community College

About

SUNY Sullivan is located on a beautiful 405-acres campus in the Catskill Mountains, just fifteen minutes from the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Mighty M Gaming, several major golf resorts, and the scenic Delaware River. It is also within a two hour drive of the New York City metro area and provides close proximity to both interstate and international travel hubs.

SUNY Sullivan offers accommodations in its Lazarus I. Levine Residence Hall, a corridor-style dorm able to house 300 people in single or double occupancy rooms, or its EcoGreen Townhouses. These three connected townhouses, located immediately adjacent to campus, feature the amenities you would expect from an independent style living facility: spacious rooms with private closets, full size eat-in kitchens, living rooms, washers and dryers, Cable television, and hi-speed Internet access.

SUNY Sullivan offers convenient and flexible dining service with a variety of food choices. Dining services are managed by Chartwells, a division of Compass Group, and meals are prpeared and served in the Benmosche Family Dining Hall located in Statler Hall – also known as the “Upper H Building.”

The Paul Gerry Fieldhouse is our 30,000 square foot athletic facility. It features a fitness center, cardio room, indoor running track, racquetball courts, and convertible floor space that can be set up for basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and a variety of other sports. The fieldhouse is the current home of the NJCAA D-III Men’s National Basketball Tournament, and has been the longtime home of the Eastern States Wrestling Classic.

In addition to college sporting events, the fieldhouse serves as a popular venue for large scale community events and gatherings, craft fairs, job fairs, and other occasions. A recreation-sized pool is outdoors, adjeacent to the fieldhouse, and the campus also has well-kept soccer pitch and baseball field – which fetaures a brand new press box and concession stand in 2012.

The Seelig Theater is outfitted with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, and holds 250 guests in a comfortable, intimate setting. The tiered seating provides wonderful sight lines from every seat, making the theater a perfect venue for anything from movies and stage productions, to lectures and presentations of all kinds. The theater is Powepoint, web, and satellite ready.

Of course, there are numerous other classroom and meeting spaces available that can meet your needs. These range from traditional lecture/classroom formats, to audio/video equipped conference rooms, and even our campus banquet hall.

We invite camps, conferences, meetings and overnight groups to enjoy the beauty of the Catskills and all that SUNY Sullivan has to offer. Packages can be customized to your group’s specific needs.
