Georgetown Inn

About

In 1962, the Georgetown Hotel made its premiere with a four-day celebration. The location became a popular vacation for the rich and famous throughout the course of the following several decades. The Duke and Duchess of Windsor, who are regarded as the Georgetown Inn’s first official visitors, were the first of many famous dignitaries to stay at the hotel. Several Hollywood stars, including Marlon Brando, Robert Mitchum, and Elizabeth Taylor, started to frequent the area. Collins Bird, the Georgetown Inn’s first general manager, attracted a following for his smart demeanor and helped the establishment maintain its opulent appeal. The Georgetown Inn is once more a well-known landmark in the heart of Washington.
