Memorial University (St. John’s Campus) is the largest university in Atlantic Canada, containing over 85 classrooms and meeting rooms, on-campus accommodations for up to 2,000 people, as well as several eateries and a large main dining hall (R. Gushue Hall). The St. John’s Campus offers on-site recreational facilities, food courts, a campus bar, and a pub and eatery run by the graduate students’ union. The Health Sciences Centre hospital is located on the north-west end of campus. Memorial University is located within walking distance of various restaurants, the Avalon mall, and downtown attractions.
