About
George Mason University (Mason) is in Fairfax County – 15 miles outside Washington, D.C. – on a picturesque, wooded, 677-acre campus. Our event and conference housing offerings include residence halls (room types are a mix of traditional rooms, suites, and apartments), with 24-hour customer service desks and amenities including free use of laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and cable. Guests have access to free shuttle servicer around campus, and free local bus service to local shopping, dining, and local METRO stations.
Mason’s Housing and Residence Life Conference & Event department provides housing for groups ranging from 1 (guest housing) to 500. Typically, our residence halls are available from the last week of May through the first week of August. Our accommodation room styles are priced to fit every event budget. In addition to our housing accommodations, we have 30 meeting spaces within the residence halls for meetings, trainings, and social events.
We work closely with our partners in the Office of University Events (University Events), which specializes in conference and event services outside the campus housing component. University Events has a rich history of coordinating events of all kinds – campaign rallies, gubernatorial debates, association conferences, Nobel Prize receptions, and much more. Whether you are planning a small meeting at one of Mason’s conference rooms or a performance for as many as 10,000, the campus has access to event spaces guaranteed to impress. University Events offers professional coordination services for clients planning an event at Mason and can assist with logistical support such as: budget preparation, scheduling and setting up meeting space, handling hotel room block arrangements, food and beverage service selection, equipment rental, and everything that goes into streamlining the perfect event on campus.

Aquatic Fitness Center
The Aquatic and Fitness Center (AFC) supports a wide range of activities for the University community. Members have access to a variety of fitness and well-being programs and services, cardio and strength equipment, and aquatic amenities and programs. Special packages are available for camp/conference participants, and for summer interns making one of GMU's residence halls home for the summer.

Recreation and Athletic Complex (RAC)
Encompassing 120,000 square feet, the Recreation Athletic Complex (RAC) boasts three gymnasiums, racquetball courts, squash courts, and a two-story fitness gallery. The RAC serves as the home for Mason Recreation programs, three intercollegiate sports (tennis, volleyball, and wrestling), Army ROTC offices, as well as a classroom and offices for the School of Recreation, Health and Tourism.

George Mason University West Campus Park
The West Campus Park Complex features two lighted fields, one artificial turf and one Bermuda grass, and a third unlighted Bermuda grass field. The fields can be lined for a variety of sports like soccer, lacrosse, and rugby. Ample parking is available in the adjacent West Campus Parking Lot. West Campus Park also houses a covered pavilion area with picnic tables, grills, and restrooms.

Tennis Courts at George Mason University's West Campus Park
The George Mason University Tennis Courts are located on West Campus. The 8 lighted NCAA/USTA regulation courts are the primary practice and competition facility for Mason’s Men’s & Women’s NCAA tennis teams and the Club Tennis team. Spectator seating and parking is available on site.

Beacon Hall Conference Center at Mason's SciTech Campus in Manassas, Virginia
Beacon Hall Conference Center features two multipurpose rooms with movable tables and chairs. Both rooms are equipped with a projection screen, LCD projector, and sound system. The two rooms connect by double doors in the middle and can be rented together or separately. Access to a large private lobby with abundant natural lighting works well for registration, catering, or vendors.

Most of the residence halls at GMU have lounges, multi-purpose rooms and/or small classrooms. These meeting spaces are often available for rent to our camp and conference groups. These spaces are outfitted with the typical technology required for the room design and function.
