From one-day basketball clinics to overnight football trainings sports camps are a summer tradition. Each event will have its own considerations and requirements, but here are a few general tips to ensure that your sports camp venue is a homerun! There are plenty of sites that may be able to host your event, and truly one-of-a-kind spaces are a great place to start looking for a venue for your next sports camp. Not only will you have access to athletic fields and facilities, but you may also be able to secure onsite accommodations for an overnight sports camp. British Columbia


Residence & Conference Centre - Kamloops

Our conference centre is located at the heart of the Tournament Capital Centre of Canada, Kamloops BC. Our location is ideal for sport camps, tournaments and training due to it's proximity to both accommodations and training and tournament facilities.

Only a short 3-5 minute walk from the Tournament Capital Centre, a world class facility that includes an Olympic length pool, FIFA-certified artificial turf field, internationally acclaimed track and field facilities, modern training centre, and well equipped gymnastics centre, and is home to the BC Lions annual training camp.

A 1 minute walk in the opposite direction will take your team to our Residence, which runs as a hotel during the summer months and is a cost-effective option for teams to be close to the ammenities needed for a successful camp, tournament or training. 

The TRU Conference Centre works with sport teams to ensure that the meals provided are best suited to the needs of the players. We will create a custom rotational menu to provide your team the options required for a successful game. We cater to those with allergies and will do our best to accommodate dietary requirements. We also have additional meeting rooms available for team meetings, training sessions or team socials. Our dedicated event staff will work with you to assist in all aspects of your teams stay at the TRU Conference Centre.

The TRU Conference Centre is the perfect location for your next camp, tournament or training, with all ammenities required within a 5 minute walking radius. We are also located close to shopping centres, grocery stores, retail outlets and recreational facilities. 

Vancouver Island University

Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, British Columbia is the ideal location to host your next sports camp. Our on-campus fitness center features treadmills, spin bikes, elliptical machines, weight lifting equipment and other stations, along with high definition televisions, iPod compatible equipment, and a stereo system.

For tennis lovers six outdoor, NCAA regulation tennis courts with views of Beverly Harbor offer great playing surfaces with seating for 50 spectators.

In our Post Science and Sports Center we have the following spaces:

Mount Holyoke College Summer Conferences

Mount Holyoke College is located in picturesque western Massachusetts. Our one-stop shop approach to working with our clients makes coordination seamless. Each of our summer programs has their own private residence hall with a large lounge space on the first floor. The summer of 2018 will welcome our new dining facility after a $50 million renovation. This facility will offer a variety of menu options at different stations along with lake views and outdoor seating.

Nichols College

In the historical and scenic town of Dudley Massachusetts, Nichols College is the ideal location for, but not limited to: Conferences, seminars, camps/workshops, and retreats. This centrally located New England venue is easily accessible to five major cities. Sitting on 200 acres of land, Nichols College represents its rural background while providing an abundance of on-site and local area attractions. At Nichols, we provide exceptional on-site event coordinating services and pay great attention to detail, so you don’t have to.

We offer a large variety of campus facilities and breakout space to suit all needs. Our lodging accommodations include seven residence halls, ranging from a tradition college dorm style to suite/apartment style lodging. Our largest lodging accommodations can hold up to 366 occupants. We also offer smaller accommodations for a more intimate and connective effect. Facilities include class rooms in a variety of our buildings, which can be used for recreational or breakout space. Each classroom is well equipped with audio and visual lectern. This includes a PC, DVD/VHS player, LCD overhead projectors, and the ability to connect various devices such as a laptop. Along with lodging and traditional classroom breakout space, we also offer an auditorium for theater, banquets, or general conference meetings. We also have a newly renovated Recreation and Athletic Center equipped with a field house, gym, rock wall, aerobics room, racquetball courts, and weight and cardio workout space. The Athletic Center also occupies baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, a football/field hockey/lacrosse field, and a soccer field. Our facilities provide an extensive variety of uses, above satisfactory for any needs.

Catering is also provided at Nichols College during your stay. Guests have the ability to eat in our campus dining hall, with food service provided by Sodexo. The catering staff will work with your group to make any event memorable. From simple to elegant, our catering manager will ensure that you can rest easy and enjoy your event.

University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Beyond the exciting glitz and glamour of Las Vegas is city that is also family-friendly! The University of Nevada, Las Vegas annually hosts youth and sports programs from 10-600+ participants. The 165,000 square foot, state-of-the art recreation center, built in 2008, features two pools, 4 basketball courts, an indoor track, and fully-equipped meeting rooms. This facility is conveniently located near all suite-style residence halls and the dining commons. Additional options on campus include smart meeting rooms, academic classrooms, ballrooms, and theaters, all of which are facilitated through a certified One-Stop Shop. The Event Services team can assist clients with coordinating all their event needs, both and off campus.

The College at Brockport

The College at Brockport is home to 23 men’s and women’s varsity sports, and features facilities that rank among the best in both the area and the state. In addition, the campus hosts various large scale athletic competitions, including the New York State Special Olympics Summer Games, and is the home to the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse.

The latest and potentially greatest addition to the list of top-notch facilities at Brockport was completed in July 2012.The Special Events Recreation Center (SERC) is a $44 million, 156,000 square-foot, multi-use complex with a seating capacity of 5,500. The state-of-the-art, three-story facility features an indoor track, a brand-new fitness center and weight room, indoor training and practice areas for softball, baseball and tennis, plus an indoor throwing cage for Brockport shot put and discus throwers. The Field House alone provides 66,000 square-feet in event space.

The Tuttle Athletic Complex is home to the Jim & John Vlogianitis Gymnasium, Tuttle North Ice Arena, James B. Fulton Natatorium, and Tuttle North Gymnastics Center. Walking into the newly rededicated Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium, the proud and storied tradition of The College at Brockport athletics is on display. From the championship banners commemorating Brockport’s numerous NCAA Division III titles and State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) titles, to the five full-size basketball courts inside the gymnasium, the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium is always buzzing with Brockport activity. Featuring ample spectator seating, the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium provides Golden Eagle athletics with a strong home-court advantage.

Outdoor athletic facilities include the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium and Bob Boozer Field, the Clark V. Whited Complex for baseball and softball, the A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field for soccer, tennis courts, and field hockey and lacrosse fields. Brockport’s football, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, lacrosse and outdoor track and field teams, host their home games at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium and Bob Boozer Field. With seating for 11,000 fans, it is one of the largest on-campus Division III football facilities in the country. It features A-Turf field, a newly installed speaker system, a display scoreboard, bleacher seating along both sidelines and a state-of-the art press box.
