Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJ Hamilton) is leading the charge against cancer

Date

04/05/2017

Today, New Jersey ranks among the top five states in the entire nation for the highest cancer rates, among all types and genders. However, progress with improved screenings and of vital risk factors, along with access to top cancer treatments and clinical trials, are leading to higher survival rates.

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJ Hamilton) is leading the charge and uniting against cancer. RWJ Hamilton is proud to launch Project WE vs C, a collaborative initiative that will continue over the next two years. We are making it our mission to save more lives through prevention, detection, treatment and ongoing support.

From June 3-4, Roxey Ballet, in partnership with numerous local nonprofit organizations, will perform a project over a year-long in the making: WE vs C: Stories of Breast Cancer Survivors.

WE vs C: Stories of Breast Cancer Survivors is a world premier of dance, music, art, and theater collaboration celebrating the lives of breast cancer survivors. This healing arts project will involve partnerships with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton Foundation, D&R Greenway, Grounds for Sculpture, and the Breast Cancer Resource Center. It is a song-cycle/ballet conceived and created by Mark Roxey with original music by songwriting team Robert Maggio and Matthew Hardy, with choreography by Mark Roxey.
