Emerald Lake Lodge Recognized as #9 in Best Resorts in Canada

November 10, 2015 – Condé Nast Traveler announced the results of its 28th annual Readers’ Choice Awards with Emerald Lake Lodge recognized as #9 in Best Resorts in Canada with a score of 84.670.

“We’re so proud of the Condé Nast Traveler ranking,” notes Connie O’Connor. “It means so much to us that our guests appreciate Emerald Lake Lodge as much as we do,” explained Connie O’Connor, who along with her husband Patrick O’Connor own Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts.

Condé Nast Traveler announced the results of its 28th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, ranking the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, airlines, and cruise lines in the world. Over 128,000 dedicated readers cast votes for over 5,000 hotels, hundreds of cities and islands, dozens of cruise ships, airlines and airports, and in an average survey time of twenty minutes. The result? More than 1,500 of the best travel experiences in the world.

Since opening as a year-round destination in 1986, Emerald Lake Lodge has offered innovative Rocky Mountain Cuisine, rooms with wood-burning fieldstone fireplaces and down duvets, as well as a true escape from the hectic pace of modern life. None of the rooms have televisions, WIFI or cell service, and the first thing guests notice when they arrive is the silence. Surrounded by mountains and wildlife, the resort offers a kind of deep relaxation that is not easily forgotten.

During the winter months, guests often engage in cross country skiing on the groomed trails or snowshoeing on a variety of trails surrounding the lodge. Downhill skiing is available a short drive away. During the summer months, canoeing on Emerald Lake is a popular pastime with guests in addition to hiking the trails that leave directly from the lodge. Emerald Lake Lodge is twenty minutes west of Lake Louise, Alberta, near Field, British Columbia.
The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.” Under Editor in Chief Pilar Guzmán, the Readers’ Choice Awards have become more selective and specific to the passions that inspire today’s travelers
