What to wear to the Conference: Comfort is the key word. Wear what you are comfortable in…khakis to jeans…sandals to tennis shoes. We want you to thoroughly enjoy this experience. You may want to bring a light jacket or sweater for air-conditioned rooms and and a rain jacket for outside adventures.
Relax, Learn and Enjoy: Outside of the educational sessions, you will have the opportunity to network with Unique Venues colleagues. During our Member Appreciation Party at Dave & Buster's you can mingle with your colleagues and play over 200 of the biggest, newest, and exclusive arcade games.
Dallas Weather: By October the weather in Dallas has cooled and hot days are uncommon. But along with the pleasant temperatures comes an increase in rainfall. In most years, Dallas averages a daily maximum temperature for October that's between 76 and 81 degrees Fahrenheit (24 to 27 degrees Celsius). The minimum temperature usually falls between 56 and 61 °F (13 to 16 °C).

Pegasus Urban Trails App:
Discover the rich history of Dallas, Texas with this fun self-guided walking tour through the different districts in downtown Dallas. The Pegasus Urban Trail, named for the famous flying red horse on top of the 1922 Magnolia building, takes you through unique areas of downtown Dallas including the Arts District, West End Historic District, Main Street District, Farmers Market, Deep Ellum, and the Civic Center. These districts feature some of Dallas’ most iconic buildings and places including Dealey Plaza, City Hall, Reunion Tower, Statler Hilton, Old Red, Dallas Museum of Art, Majestic Theater, Neiman Marcus, Pioneer Park, and more. Each district has a tour route to follow with interesting facts about the buildings or sites related to history, architecture, arts, or pop-culture. All of the sites are also individually searchable by name, address, or category. Residents and visitors alike will enjoy the trails which are a rich tool to experience the architectural gems and unique history of downtown Dallas.

How to Get Around
Taxicabs
Taxi service is available on the lower level of Terminals A, B, C, D and E. A DFW Airport Guest Assistant is available at taxi stands between 8:00 AM and 12 AM (midnight) to help control the flow and ensure that you are placed with a taxi. Fares average about $50 from the airport to the Fairmont.
Airport Shuttles:
GO Airport Shuttle makes getting to or from the airport easy with shared ride airport shuttle service or private car service.
Driving and Parking Directions
Covered and open parking lots and garages available in the surrounding area.
Parking at the host venue is available at a rate of $20.00 per car. Park in the Thanksgiving Tower parking garage located under the building at 1601 Elm Street. There are two entrances to the building. The first on Elm at 1601 Elm Street, Dallas. The second is on Pacific accessible via GPS at 1660 Pacific Avenue, Dallas. Please remember to bring your parking ticket for validation.

DART Akard Station
Located on Pacific Avenue between Akard and Field streets, Akard Station is served by the Central Business District (CBD) segment of the DART Rail Red, Blue, Green and Orange lines. Go Pass allows you to purchase your fare before you go.
Train
The AMTRAK station (Texas Eagle route) is located less than a mile from the Fairmont Dallas.
